Using modifier keys, you can add or delete pixels from the flickering marquee border. You can also select pixels at the intersection of two overlapping marquee selections.
To add pixels to a marquee selection:
Hold down Shift and select the pixels you want to add.
Note: You can also create an additional marquee selection using the Shift key. While holding down the Shift key, create a marquee selection that does not overlap the original marquee border.
To delete pixels from a marquee selection
Hold down Alt (Windows) or Option (Macintosh) and select the pixels you want to delete.
To select pixels where two marquee borders intersect:
1 | Hold down Alt+Shift (Windows) or Option+Shift (Macintosh) while creating a new marquee selection that overlaps the original marquee border. |
2 | Release the mouse button. Only the pixels at the intersection of the two marquees are selected.
